About Us

Livio and Minke began taking bookings for La Stanza, La Villettina’s upstairs room with a mountain view in August 2005. By January 2006 they were ready to take bookings for De Suite, La Villettina’s self contained suite with a private back garden entrance.

Since then we have hosted a steady stream of short and longer term guests year-round who come to White Rock for a variety of reasons.

We have learned that our guests appreciate La Villettina’s uptown location. They let us know that they enjoy being within walking distance to public transit, shops and stores, professional services and recreational facilities surrounded by the beauty of lush seasonal gardens tended by local residence along a labyrinth of streets, roads and alley ways that lead to the front, the beach and Semiahmoo Bay.

We are always delighted to share our home with guests in the European tradition of offering clean, cozy and comfortable accommodations to travelers and visitors for a fee.

Studio 2

Now, entering nto their third year in business, Livio and Minke are launching Studio 2, La Villettina’s Visual Art Studio.  Minke is currently working on a mural for the entrance of De Suite. She also participates in a life drawing group -- Drawing on Life - experiments with oils and watercolors and attended a Plein Air workshop facilitated by the White Rock Summer School of the Arts in September and in November - Painting Large and Loose with Langley based artist Suzanne Nothcott. 

Since La Villettina’s opening, Minke has shown works at the White Rock Museum and Archives, North Delta Fire Hall, Semiahmoo House, Longhouse Gallery - South Delta, White Rock Arts Council, and will be showing again at Semiahmoo House with the White Rock Visual Art Society in their November 2007 show.  A series of seven figure drawings are currently hanging in the Gallery in Central Plaza uptown White Rock.  See Studio 2 page for further details.
